my ironkey.

bought 2 ironkey personal 8gb.

i am of course please with it since its so $

but i only have 1 problem with it.i do get 404 error often when i am using it. for you folks out there. dont fret there's a solution for it..RTFM

I receive a 404 Error when using Secure Sessions. What should I do?

There may be times when you encounter a 404 error message while using Secure Sessions. This means that the IronKey Secure Sessions software on your IronKey cannot connect to the Secure Sessions network. The 404 errors may be intermittent, but are almost always resolved by performing these steps.

Verify your IronKey version:
1. Unlock your IronKey under Windows and go to IronKey Control Panel
2. Turn Caps Lock ON
3. Left-click on the IronKey name or logo in the top left corner of Control Panel to reveal the version number and release date.

If you see Build ID: v1.1.12.30 [FW: 1.30] or later, move to Solution A below.
If you see Build ID: v1.0.10.18 or earlier, move to Solution B below.

Solution A: (v1.1.12.30 [FW: 1.30] or later)
1. Close your onboard Firefox browser
2. Go to your IronKey Secure volume,
IronKey-System-Files\SecureSessions\SecureSessionsFiles folder (you may need to enable 'Show Hidden Files and Volumes' in Windows before you can see it)
3. Delete the 'Nodes' file
4. Delete the contents of the cached-status folder (leave the folder in place and empty)
5. If the cached-routers file is 0KB in size, delete it (ignore the cached-routers.new file)
6. Lock your IronKey
7. Unlock your IronKey again
8. Start your onboard Firefox

Solution B: (v1.0.10.18, Sep 14 2007 or earlier)
1. Close your onboard Firefox
2. Go to your IronKey Secure Files volume, FirefoxData folder (you may need to enable 'Show Hidden Files and Volumes' in Windows before you can see it)
3. Delete the 'tor' folder with everything inside of it
4. Lock your IronKey
5. Unlock your IronKey
6. Start your onboard Firefox
